The logistics sector has come a long way in the past decades. Technology, globalisation and other factors have contributed to its accelerated evolution. In this industry, where delivering the right amount of product at the right time and place is crucial, the pace is almost as fast as its growth.

Himi Patel knows it very well. “Time management and organisational skills are essential in the logistics field. In logistics you need to be very accurate with time” he said.

Andrew Mero is a passionate, determined and adventurous architectural graduate who loves being outdoors and has a deep devotion to alpine architecture. Congratulations to former Wodonga TAFE Certificate III in Landscape Construction (AHC30916) Apprentice Ryan Leman, who has been nominated for the 2020 Victorian Training Awards for Apprentice of the Year! Ryan is currently working for Stuart Gordon Landscaping & Paving Specialists as a Foreman, having completed his apprenticeship in July 2019.

Simon studied the Diploma of Community Services with Wodonga TAFE, and was awarded as a ‘2019 Student of the Year’ at our Celebration of Achievement Awards late last year.

Tony has been nominated for Vocational Student of the Year in this year’s Victorian Training Awards, and completed Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance with Wodonga TAFE in 2019. 

On campus today, students in the Certificate I in Transition Education class planted Australian native trees as part of a volunteering project for Planet Ark’s National Tree Day

Our Commercial Cookery apprentices put their skills to a fast-paced test with an on-campus restaurant service early last week. Food was prepared in the commercial kitchens on campus by the 3rd-year apprentices who are completing Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, with all restaurant services provided by our students enrolled in Certificate III in Hospitality.

Mr Olivier Nzovu, a Wodonga TAFE Photography graduate, received recognition as an up-and-coming filmmaker at the 2020 Victorian Multicultural Awards for Excellence. 

Students completing the Certificate I in Work Education are continuing their creative adventures on campus this term, with their small business projects underway. 

As part of their vocational studies, students completing their Work Education qualifications have created an outdoor waiting room for 'Lazy Acre Pony Rides' at Stanley. 

Skye Sharpe, one of our recently qualified Parks & Gardens apprentices has been successful in her nomination as a finalist for the upcoming 2022 NSW Training Awards – Riverina/Murray Region within the Apprentice of the Year category. The awards are being held in Griffith at 6.30pm Thursday 9 June, 2022.

Wodonga TAFE celebrated its Achievement Awards on Wednesday 14 December 2022, at The Cube Wodonga. The TAFE’s annual Celebration of Achievement Awards recognised the outstanding achievements and contributions of students, industry partners, and Wodonga TAFE staff members.

Veterans and families are the latest to benefit from Wodonga TAFE’s Remedial Massage and Massage Therapy program, with students setting up their newest clinic in central Wodonga.

During the recent WorldSkills competition, Tanika Zanghellini, a student at Wodonga TAFE, took home the bronze medal for her impressive hairdressing skills and composure throughout the three-day event.
