Light Vehicle Training

The following courses can be completed individually or combined to create the program right for you or your business. All programs are fee for service.

LIGHT VEHICLE TRAINING

4WD Familiarisation

This one-day training course is designed for all drivers using 4WD or all-wheel drive vehicles who require the additional mobility that 4WD offers, to negotiate relatively flat terrain such as unsealed roads and paddocks.

Safe Towing

All trailerable equipment requires skill and knowledge to tow and maneuver safely. Our Safe Towing Program is specifically designed to teach the key basic skills needed for safe towing and caters to all experience levels. You will learn about the risks associated with towable equipment, how to properly prepare for towing, gain hands-on practice experience in maneuvering the equipment and how to load your trailer & attach it to your vehicle, identify the compliance plate, and understand the GVM (Gross Vehicle Mass) to ensure safe towing.

Course is delivered over four hours, either as a Morning (8am-12pm) session or as an Afternoon (12:30pm-4:30pm) session.
This course is for one (1) participant however feel free to discuss this further with the Department for alternate arrangements.
