APPRENTICESHIPS

Certificate III in Cabinet Making

Available as part of a cabinetmaking apprenticeship or traineeship, you’ll learn the skills of a qualified tradesperson in cabinetmaking. Full qualification as a tradesperson is only possible if undertaking this course as an apprentice. Students can gain employment with furniture makers, kitchen manufacturers, shop fitters, joiners, reproduction furniture makers, furniture restorers and boat interior fitters.

SCHEDULE

Apprenticeship/Traineeship: 3 days per week (Tues-Thurs) | 8 blocks per year | Time: 8am-4.30pm

The above traineeship or apprenticeship courses are available to employed trainees or apprentices only.

SHORT COURSES

Woodworking 101

The course focuses upon the use of hand tools to produce set projects designed to incorporate different learning processes. Topics include: using and maintaining hand tools, safe use of portable power tools, basic woodworking skills, basic timber joints and more. Each student will build a set project(s).
