Timber Studies

This course is the next step for students who have completed Introduction to Woodworking and are ready to advance their skills and confidence in the workshop. This hands-on short course builds on foundational techniques and introduces more complex joinery, precision machining, and project planning.;;Participants will refine their craftsmanship, expand their tool knowledge, and complete a structured project that demonstrates intermediate-level woodworking capability.

The course focuses upon the use of hand tools to produce set projects designed to incorporate different learning processes. Topics include: using and maintaining hand tools, safe use of portable power tools, basic woodworking skills, basic timber joints and more. Each student will build a set project outlined at the beginning of the course.
