Classroom Based
Duration is dependent on the stage progression undertaken: Stage 1 – Welding Pathway – 8 weeks Stage 2 – Machining and CNC Pathway – 13 weeks Stage 3 – Full Qualification Completion – 13 weeks Traineeship – a training plan is developed in consultation with an employer and trainee in line with the Australian Traineeship Agreement.
Initial Stage Introduction: 8-week introduction to Engineering. Full completion of Certificate II in Engineering Studies: 4 months
Up to 4 Years (Students already with trade qualifications will receive credit transfer where applicable)
Employer Based (VET Providers Only), Classroom Based, Electronic Based
Full-time: 12 Months, Part-time: 24 Months (Students already with trade qualifications may receive credit transfer where applicable)
Blended Delivery, Electronic Based
FULL TIME: 12 months, PART TIME: 24 months for students who have completed MEM40412 or MEM40422 Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting. 3 years for students with no previous credits.
Employer Based (VET Providers Only), School Based
APPRENTICESHIP, FULL-TIME: 4 YEARS
Blended Delivery, Employer Based (VET Providers Only), School Based
The above traineeship or apprenticeship courses are available to employed trainees or apprentices only.
