Women in Welding: Expressions of Interest Now Open for Introduction to Welding [NA08IW]

Friday, 14 August 2026

Ever thought about learning to weld, but didn't know where to start?

Following the success of our Women's Introduction to Welding intakes last year, we're calling for Expressions of Interest for another Women-only course! Designed to provide a safe, supportive space for women of all skill levels to explore the world of welding.

Sparks Are Flying

Recent participant Fay put it simply:

"The course exceeded my expectations! I can't wait to use the skills learnt for projects around the home. I'm looking out for further course dates in the future as I'd love to get into more garden art!"

And Zinna, from Yackandandah, didn't hold back on her recommendation:

"Every woman should complete this course! Everyone needs at least some experience welding, and this is the place to do it!"

What's Included

  • Safe use of welding tools and PPE
  • Basic MIG and Stick (Manual Metal Arc) welding
  • Hands-on practice in a supportive training environment
  • Small take-home project
  • Pathways into further training or employment
  • Your own welding kit to keep (helmet, gloves, safety glasses, earmuffs, bag)

Held at our McKoy Street Campus, this course is open to women of all skill levels - no experience necessary.
