Attendance Requirements
FULL TIME: 12 Months
Full time study for students with no previous credits.
- Mondays - One workshop per month, 8am-4pm & evening classes, 5.30pm-9pm (mix of on-campus and online sessions)
- Tuesdays - One workshop per month 8am-4pm & evening classes, 5.30pm-9pm (mix of on-campus and online sessions)
- Wednesdays - 8am-4pm
PART TIME:
- Wednesdays - 8am-4pm over 12 months for students who have completed Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting.
Distance, Flexible or blended learning arrangements may be considered on consultation with the teaching department.

FULL TIME: 12 months, PART TIME: 24 months for students who have completed MEM40412 or MEM40422 Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting. 3 years for students with no previous credits.
Requirements
You will be looking to develop the necessary skills and knowledge in an engineering related field, with a blend of face-to-face workshops, online lectures/tutorials.
Notebook / computer is required to complete Moodle tasks and project assessment work in learners' own time. Geometry box (compass, set square, ruler, dividers, protractor, pencil, eraser) is to be supplied by the learner. Calculator to be supplied by the learner.
Field Placement
Please note: Optional placement may be available for interested students with local employers.
Assessment
The assessments will enable students to demonstrate the underpinning knowledge, skills and attributes required to meet the course outcomes. You will be assessed through a combination of practical work skills and theory testing, through completion of projects, class exercises, participation, written assignments and tests.
Other Information
Credit for relevant units of competency achieved may be granted towards this qualification for those who have completed MEM40412 / MEM40422 Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting, MEM30219 Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade, MEM30319 / MEM31922 Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade, or other relevant qualifications.
