When industry and Wodonga TAFE come together, great things happen.  Last month following the successful completion of the first phase of a women only Wodonga TAFE DECA Superior Heavy Vehicle Licensing program. Eight newly-licenced women truck drivers will be working to shift freight and the gender balance in the logistics industry following their graduation from the inaugural women-only driver training program.

On Thursday November 15, Wodonga TAFE was named 2018 Australian Large Training Provider of the Year at the Australian Training Awards in Sydney.

Having already taken out the equivalent Victorian state award in September, Wodonga TAFE progressed to being named a finalist in the national awards, going up against North Metropolitan TAFE - Western Australia & TAFE NSW - Design Centre Enmore - New South Wales.

Wodonga TAFE celebrated its annual Achievement Awards last night, on Tuesday 20 November 2018, in recognition and celebration of the outstanding achievements of students, industry partners, and staff members. Wodonga TAFE joins forces with heavy transport companies to offer training opportunities for women embarking on truck driving careers.

On Wednesday 8 May, Wodonga TAFE will be hosting the Disability Jobs Fair for National Disability Services (NDS). This event is part of a project funded by the Department of Education and Training and aims to promote regional employment in the disability sector.

After two years in planning, next month Wodonga TAFE will begin the process of installing 600 kilowatts of rooftop solar photovoltaic panels across its McKoy Street, TAFESpace and Logic Centre campuses.
