QUALIFICATIONS

Certificate IV in Fitness

Take your fitness career to the next level! This qualification is the industry standard you need to work as a personal trainer in the fitness sector. Extend your knowledge and gain the specialist skills you need to train individuals or groups of clients, to help them improve their fitness. Learn how to plan, conduct, and evaluate exercise training, and to provide leadership and guidance to clients and staff in a diverse range of fitness business settings.

On-campus/blended: Full-time 6 months | Workplace/blended industry: 12 months (approx) | Traineeship: 12 months (approx)

SCHEDULE

1. Blended (on-campus and online) - for people not employed in industry. Course delivery will be weekly workshops (Tuesdays 9am-4pm), PLUS up to 15 hours of online learning per week, PLUS personal training clinic conducted outside of class hours (days to be advised). The Personal Training Clinic will run sessions as follows:
- Sessions 1 + 12: Wodonga TAFE campus. Sessions 2-10: PT Fitness, 6 Chisholm Court, Wodonga
- Course dates: Orientation and Course Start July 2024

2. Workplace/blended industry - for people employed in industry (fitness setting). Course delivery will be some Tuesday morning workshops 9am-12pm on campus with some follow up Tuesday Zoom sessions (as per the timetable), PLUS up to 15 hours of online learning per week, PLUS personal training clinic conducted outside of class hours (days to be advised). - Sessions 1 + 12: Wodonga TAFE campus. Sessions 2-10: PT Fitness, 6 Chisholm Court, Wodonga OR at your own workplace.

3. Traineeship - for people employed in industry (fitness setting) and signed up as a trainee. Complete your qualification and gain the skills and knowledge you need to work as a professional within this energetic industry, including working independently in a range of settings, such as fitness centres, gyms, pools, or community facilities.

Online study obligations are 20 hours per week in addition to face-to-face requirements.
2. Workplace/blended industry - for people employed in industry (fitness setting). Course delivery will be some Tuesday afternoon workshops 1pm-4pm on campus with some follow up Tuesday Zoom sessions (as per the timetable), as well as online delivery. Online study obligations are 20 hours per week in addition to face-to-face requirements.
3. Traineeship - for people employed in industry (fitness setting) and signed up as a trainee.
