A Day in the Life of a Police Officer

Friday, 18 September 2026

A big thank you to Wodonga Police for hosting our student superstars, Luke and Jordan. As part of their studies in Certificate II in Work Education, these two lucky students got to experience a day in the life of a police officer. Being able to get hands-on and try new things is what TAFE training is all about, and it's no different for our Access Education students.

Earlier this week, Luke and Jordan stepped into the world of policing, experiencing firsthand what it’s like to be a police officer. This session included a drive with highway patrol, a session with Crime Scene Services learning how to process a mock crime scene, take fingerprints and find DNA evidence. We also toured the station and police custody – getting to check out the cells. The students had a wonderful day and enjoyed learning about a day in the life of Police Officer!
