NVITAFE statement - Helen Haines

The thoughts of the staff from Northern Victoria Institute of TAFE (NVITAFE) are with Helen Haines, her family and her team at this very difficult time.

Helen is a strong supporter of vocational education and training across North East Victoria. Her campaign to introduce and expand paid practical placements for health students has benefitted countless TAFE students across our region and Australia, making education more accessible for our community.

We are shocked and saddened by Monday’s events and lend our voice to the outpouring of support for Helen.
