Youth Skills Courses

Our new Youth Skills list includes a range of short courses and skill sets that'll add extra value to your resume and help you find employment!

These courses are great for school leavers and young people, providing employability skills, along with industry licences and tickets in some instances. They also let you try out an industry with a short course, before committing to further training. You could even use some of these courses to obtain credit for units if you move on to studying a full qualification!

Some of these courses may be available to eligible applicants for free or at reduced fees under the Free TAFE and Jobtrainer Initiative.

Life Drawing Model

You are invited to join our professional artist for this creative and informative life drawing model workshop. You will challenge your preconceived ideas of the body and train your brain through drawing exercises in this beginner class, where you will receive tips, tutorials, and feedback. This course provides the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines. This course is for anyone wanting to be fully prepared to provide CPR in the home, community or the workplace. This course is also available as ‘refresher’ training for people already holding a current CPR or First Aid certificate (please see 'Requirements' tab for additional information). Provide First Aid

This course provides the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty. These skills are in line with the first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies. This unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings. If you want to gain a start in the supply chain or warehousing industry, a forklift operations licence is a great asset.
