In collaboration with Mental Health Victoria, Wodonga TAFE is offering enrolment into the Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work. This specialist, nationally-recognised course is specifically designed for workers who have lived experience as either a consumer or carer, and who work in mental health services in roles that support, mentor or advocate for consumers or carers, or people with lived experience who have a career goal to work as a Mental Health Peer Worker.
Wodonga TAFE teachers, in partnership with Mental Health Victoria trainers, deliver the training in this course.

When You Can Enrol
Please refer your interest to Mental Health Victoria via the EOI form located on their website: https://www.mhvic.org.au/workforce/peer-workforce-development
Please note submitting an EOI is the only way to get your details into the Mental Health Victoria system. They will contact you once the next intake date is set, at which stage you can submit an application to study the qualification.
Duration
Full-time: 12 months.
Schedule
Course delivery is face-to-face face via Zoom weekly sessions. All workshops will be held on the same day and time of the week to ensure consistency. Enrolled students will receive a detailed schedule.
Requirements
To be eligible to apply for this qualification, participants must be currently working in a peer work role (paid or unpaid) at least one day per week for the duration of the course, or be in a position to be placed in a workplace one day per week. Field Placement
This course requires 160 hours of work placement.
