Tucked away in the beautiful natural environment behind Felltimber Creek, midway between Wodonga TAFE's McKoy Street campus and La Trobe University Wodonga, Kids on Campus Early Learning Centre offers long daycare, kindergarten, and family daycare services for all families within the community.

We encourage all families who are interested in enrolling at Kids on Campus to drop in for a tour of the service and go on the waitlist. Wodonga TAFE – Local Leader in Army Personnel Training

Wodonga TAFE have forged an outstanding partnership over the past 9 years with Army Logistics Training Centre (ALTC), strengthening the Australian Defence Force’s technical and trade training capability. This includes the training of Defence Force Medic personnel, who are now being deployed to multiple locations across Australia to assist in the response to the COVID-19 pandemic at testing stations, aged care facilities and in support of Paramedics.

“Army Logistic Training Centre and Wodonga TAFE have a strong and long standing partnership that delivers necessary training components to ensure our soldiers are qualified and ready to serve our nation,” Commandant of the Army Logistic Training Centre, Colonel Matthew Patching said.

“I am proud of the work our men and women are doing to support Australian communities during this challenging year.”

Wodonga TAFE trains a mix of 120 medics per year from Army, Air Force and Navy through a combined course offering, which delivers a Diploma of Paramedical science and the Diploma of Nursing. This partnership now see Wodonga TAFE as the largest third-party provider for the Australian Defence Force.

“Recognising the valuable role Wodonga TAFE plays in building the capability of our Defence personnel makes me very proud of our partnership,” Wodonga TAFE CEO, Phil Paterson said. “It’s also about the contribution TAFE and Army are making to our community.”

Current vocational educational outcomes are achieved through partnerships designed to meet the needs of unique Defence training requirements. The main objective of this collaboration has been to provide high quality, accredited training programs to ALTC.

Army has a significant focus on serving the nation and strengthening ties with community and industry. The Defence Force has deployed significant support of local communities recently, including during the 2019-2020 bushfire devastation, and the current COVID-19 response. This demonstrates a real example of how the Army is connecting with communities.

Wodonga TAFE and Army Logistics Training Centre has a longstanding and esteemed partnership based on mutual respect and common values. This partnership, and others with industry, has provided Army with opportunities for collaboration and procurement more than ever before, resulting in extended capabilities and benefits for the Australian Defence Force as a whole.
