Primary Students Share Their Love of STEM

Wednesday, 21 May 2025

Last week, a small group of enthusiastic Year 5/6 students from St Francis of Assisi Primary School visited Wodonga TAFE to undertake some STEM teaching and learning activities.

Students first visited the engineering department, where they had the chance to ask questions and deepen their understanding of the engineering industry. They explored the training and work environments of engineering tradespersons, gaining valuable knowledge about this fascinating field.

The excitement didn't stop there! The students then flipped the script and became the teachers with the kindergarten classes at Kids on Campus. Together, they worked to create electronic circuits using lights, wires, and playdough, sparking curiosity and joy in the young minds.

A big thank you to the students (and their teachers) for visiting us and providing a one-of-a-kind learning opportunity to our Kinder kids!
