Industry professionals bring wealth of skills, knowledge, and experience to 'Teach Your Profession' program

Students and staff celebrated a graduation ceremony on campus last Thursday evening, with 13 participants completing Wodonga TAFE's inaugural ‘Teach Your Profession’ program.

Five graduates have already gained employment with Wodonga TAFE, in the ISTT, ASEME, and EVS departments.

TAE Educational Leader Kim Hampton said, “It was rewarding to see industry professionals transition to teaching roles, they bring a wealth of skill, knowledge and experience to the classroom.”

Students completed the TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment over 12 months. They attended evening and weekend classes which was a significant commitment and certainly demonstrated their passion for teaching.

Wodonga TAFE’s ‘Teach Your Profession’ program was a scholarship arrangement set up as part of a recruitment strategy aimed at filling teacher shortages across Wodonga TAFE.
