From concept to reality - turn your Event Management dream into your career!

Practical experience is a feature of the Event Management course on campus at Wodonga TAFE.

Working alongside Wodonga TAFE's Event Coordinator gave the class of 2019 a great start to practical experience at the North East Food & Wine Festival early last year! The students stepped up to the challenge as part of their course, assisting from event set-up and through the day, to site clean-up after the Festival. Tasks included bump-in, traffic management, public relations, and pack-up. All part of another successful event!

The Diploma of Event Management focuses on all aspects of event management. Completing this qualification helps students develop a flexible skill-set of events knowledge that is relevant to many industry roles and event types. Throughout the year students are presented with opportunities to collaborate with industry and be involved in a range of in-house and external events from the initial concept and design stage, through to planning, styling, onsite management, and evaluation. Students learn a range of project management, marketing, budgeting, and hospitality skills to ensure they enter the workforce with well-rounded business knowledge and hands-on experience managing real-life events. From weddings to festivals, concerts, and regional events, skilled event management staff are highly sought after!
