The Momentum Project
Introduce your students to the Transport, Warehousing, Logistics and Civil Construction Industries through a series of fun, interactive and curriculum linked activities.
Wodonga TAFE is offering your school the opportunity to participate in a range of activities in Term 2 & 3, 2021 to support curriculum delivery and connection with local industries. The program is offered with full flexibility for you to mix and match to suit your school requirements.
The Activities
The program consists of a number of activities. Engage in one, or combine them all!
Whole school introduction By arrangement
Teacher PD May 2021, explore the activities available and network with others
Curriculum Aligned Projects Full resource kits for in class delivery. Each activity linked to the Victorian Curriculum for years 7-10
Trucking Physics math, science, design & technology
Perfect Packing math, science, economics & business
Civil Swim math, science, creative & critical thinking

The Wodonga Institute of TAFE team will be here to support you every step of the way. We’ve designed all of the activities so that you can deliver in your classrooms without any specialised skills or knowledge. We will provide you with a full resource kit for all activities, including teacher guides.
There is no cost to the school, or individuals to be involved in the program, however participation is limited to 25 schools/resource kits per activity. So register today to secure your spot.

Introducing your whole school to this project is an important step in developing connection between in school learning and industry job roles, as well as connection between different year levels. Use this presentation is inspire and excite your students and teachers to the opportunities available throughout the program. A promotional pack including newsletter and social media content will also be provided to support your school tell

All curriculum aligned projects
- Are mapped to the Years 7, 8, 9 and 10 Victorian Curriculum in the areas of:
- Math
- Science
- Careers
- One other curriculum area
- Can be modified by you to suit different year levels/group sizes/durations
- Activities are designed to be worked on in small groups, but could be done individually if preferred
Resource Kits
- Each resource kit contains a complete lesson plan plus all the supplies required for 5 groups to be working at one time
- Schools will be provided with one reusable resource kit per school
- You may choose to purchase additional resource kits if required
- Resource kits can be kept by the school for future use and are not required to be returned

Our Momentum Project coordinator will walk your teachers through the activity delivery and provide insight into the Industry connections for each activity, ensuring your teachers feel confident to deliver the activities to their class. This is also a fabulous opportunity for teachers to network with those working in the industry and other teachers across the region.

Celebrate the close of the project with a full day of fun, prizes and interactive experiences at the Wodonga Institute of TAFE Logic Campus. Watch the activities completed in class, be delivered on a MASSSIVE scale, with real life machinery. There will be industry professionals, TAFE pathways staff and teaching staff available to answer all your questions.
Bus transport and lunch provided

A range of industry professionals are available to speak to your students about their career journey, work experiences and industry knowledge. A guest speaker will add value to your student’s curriculum aligned projects by providing real world context and insight.
