Overview
Gain the skills to start on your career pathway into the printing and graphic arts industry! This practical course will give you hands-on experience and will expose you to the art of designing and printing in a number of ways. You will gain the skills and knowledge you need to competently complete routine or defined tasks in this specialised industry sector, in roles where you work under direct supervision.

Duration
Full-time: 6 months
Schedule
On-campus: Two days per week, Monday and Friday, 9am - 4pm, on campus, starting 02 February 2026 -
Traineeship: Individual training plans will be developed in consultation with your employer, as part of your traineeship.
Requirements
You may enter the qualification with limited or no vocational experience; however we recommend that you have completed Year 10 as a minimum. A pre-training interview is required.
Students must provide:
• USB min 16Gb or external Drive
• Notebook and general stationary supplies
• A4 or A3 visual diary (120 pages)
• 2 x plain Cotton T-shirt for screen printing
Assessment
The assessments will enable students to demonstrate the underpinning knowledge, skills and attributes required to meet the course outcomes. A range of assessment strategies to meet different student’s needs will be selected, including portfolio evaluation, given tasks and assignments.
