Completion of this skill set course contributes towards satisfying the entry requirements for the Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care. For individuals who hold superseded qualifications at Certificate III or Diploma level but cannot demonstrate the required 12 months of cumulative employment within the last 5 years in a regulated education and care service

Field Placement
o achieve competency in this skill set, students must be assessed in a regulated Early Childhood Education and Care service. To ensure teacher availability, not all workplace locations may be suitable. If you are currently employed, your workplace location will be reviewed during the pre-training review stage.
Students who do not meet the workplace requirements will be required to complete a 120-hour placement. This placement will be arranged by Wodonga TAFE in a location suitable for both parties.
Prior to commencing placement, students must hold a current National Police Check (please note that Police Checks are only valid for three months) and a valid Volunteer Working with Children’s Check (Victoria or NSW). Additional costs may apply.

You will be assessed on your theoretical and practical knowledge, understanding and skills.
