Overview
The Life Skills Program is designed for post-school aged learners with permanent intellectual disabilities by exploring and building their knowledge, skills, and confidence needed for greater independence and active participation in the community.
The program provides practical and engaging opportunities for learners to develop critical life skills across areas such as independent living, budgeting, government supports, recreation, travel, relationships, and safe internet use.
By focusing on real-life applications and personalised learning, this program aims to build learners' Goal setting self-development, promote informed decision-making in Community environments online and personal as well as supporting their long-term well-being and social inclusion.

Requirements
Students must have evidence of a permanent cognitive impairment or intellectual disability. All potential students must attend a pre-training interview to determine their suitability, to discuss goals, and to identify any barriers to learning.
Information Sessions
Information sessions can be individualised - please contact us to arrange a time.
Students may also attend a 'School Experience Day' on campus, or in term 3 of each year we have a 'Come and Try' day where future students are welcomed on campus to explore student life.
Assessment
Assessment will be through class participation and contribution to projects.
