Wodonga Tech School

Imagine the possibilities a Wodonga Tech School would offer to our future generations - connecting remote and regional communities and students in the Education State, to discover new and innovative ways of living, learning, and working.

The establishment of a Tech School at Wodonga TAFE, located in northeast Victoria, would be a significant contributor to realising the Victorian Government’s vision for future skills, innovation, and a clean and circular economy. Working closely with secondary colleges, universities, and communities, this would form an integrated and engaging education precinct.

Wodonga TAFE proposes the construction of a new purpose-built Tech School located on Wodonga TAFE’s main campus in Wodonga, which will address access equity issues for regional and remote Victorians, and will deliver the training, knowledge, and skills necessary for Victorian school students to flourish in our rapidly changing economies.

The proposed Tech school would be situated adjacent to our newly built Trades Training Centre, and be a short trip from Wodonga TAFE’s Logical Innovation Precinct. There are significant synergies and pathways between these training facilities, that will further ignite interest and inspire achievement in future skills and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

We envisage the Wodonga Tech School would offer students opportunities in the localised and specialist growth industries sectors of:

  • Transport and logistics
  • Agriculture
  • Health
  • Advanced manufacturing
  • Building and construction
  • Sustainability and clean economies

Wodonga TAFE advocates for the building of a Tech School to service the current and future needs of our communities and industries.
