Join us in celebrating National Sorry Day & Reconciliation Week

Wodonga TAFE and  Mungabareena Aboriginal Corporation together would like to invite you to join in National Sorry Day 2022.

National Reconciliation Week (27 May-3 June) incorporates two very important days in Australian History: National Sorry Day (26 May) and Mabo Day (3 June). The theme for the 2021 Reconciliation Week is ‘More than a word. Recondition takes action’, with the theme urging the reconciliation movement towards more impactful action.

The event will include:

  • Welcome to Country and Cleansing Ceremony with Johnny Murray
  • MC Rhiannon Heatherington, Koorie Student Leader at Wodonga Senior Secondary College
  • Guest speakers, Elder Aunty Betty Hood/Cherry and Aunty Rita Wenburg - Stolen Generation Survivors
  • Viewing of the film - Unfinished Business
    And so much more!

When: Thursday 26 May, 10:30am – 12:30pm
Where: The Hangar, Wodonga TAFE 
Catering: Lunch will be provided, please let Dawn know of any dietary requirements
