Diverge Program 2025

Monday, 8 December 2025

In Term 4, Wodonga TAFE proudly delivered the Diverge Program to six Year 10 students from Wodonga Senior Secondary School, in collaboration with Junction Support Services. This initiative reflects our shared commitment to creating pathways for young people at risk and fostering engagement through vocational education.

The program offered:

  • Hands-on vocational taster sessions across multiple trades and disciplines.
  • On-campus experiential learning in an adult education environment.
  • Guidance from qualified educators with expertise in youth engagement.

Diverge builds on Wodonga TAFE’s strong history of community partnerships, including:

  • Delivery of Diverge/Inspiring Pathways programs to re-engage youth.
  • Collaboration on Wodonga’s first Youth Foyer with Beyond Housing and the Brotherhood of St Laurence, supporting independence through education.

This term’s success was made possible by the incredible contributions of our teams across TAFE—from Arboriculture and Outdoor Education to Hospitality, Engineering, Carpentry, Plumbing, Motorsports, and more. Their dedication ensured participants experienced real-world skills and opportunities.

Programs like Diverge demonstrate the power of collaboration between education providers and community services. Together, we’re equipping young people with confidence, practical skills, and a vision for their future. Our Access Education team would like to extend their thanks to all staff and collaborative partners who put in their valuable time to make this program a success. We look forward to delivering this program again in 2026.
