Certificate II in Electrotechnology (Career Start)

Overview

Prepare for a career within the Electrical industry with this hands-on course! Gain experience and practical skills that will provide you with relevant experience that may increase your employability. This course will provide you with experience across different streams of Electrotechnology, including standard electrical and renewable energy.

Some of the skills you will develop include:

• Carrying out basic electrotechnology projects
• Install sustainable extra low voltage energy power systems
• Use computer applications relevant to a workplace
• Apply environmentally and sustainable procedures in the energy sector
• Learn how to do basic 3D sketches and 3D printing

Duration

PRE-APPRENTICESHIP, FULL-TIME: 16 Weeks

Requirements

Students must be at least 16 years of age.

There is a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) requirement to complete this course.

Assessment

The assessments will enable students to demonstrate the underpinning knowledge, skills and attributes required to meet the course outcomes. A range of assessment strategies to meet different student's needs will be selected, including tests and projects of both a theoretical and practical nature.

Skills Developed

You will gain the skills, knowledge and expertise required to operate as an electrical trade assistant, including:

• Carrying out basic electrotechnology projects
• Install sustainable extra low voltage energy power systems
• Use computer applications relevant to a workplace
• Apply environmentally and sustainable procedures in the energy sector
• Gain skills using software specifically for designing, printing and the knowledge of using a 3D printer

Certification

By successfully completing this course you will receive a nationally recognised AQF Qualification.

Pathways

Successful completion of this course may lead to opportunities to gain an apprenticeship completing - (UEE30820) Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician.
