Vocational competency is defined as broad industry knowledge and experience, and may include, but is not limited to, holding a relevant unit of competency or qualification. We will ensure that you have vocational competency by discussing and collecting certified copies of any relevant certificates you hold.
Digital Capability Whether you elect to study online or on campus, it is important to note that you will need a reasonable level of computer literacy and access to devices. All students will need a computer/laptop, headset, microphone, camera and reliable internet connection. All learning and assessment resources are accessed via Moodle, Wodonga TAFE's online learning platform. Students need to be competent in word processing (Microsoft Word), emails, and file management. It is critical that your technology skills and access to technology do not impede your learning.
Studying Online For online students, please be aware of the requirement to complete learning in your own time and join the scheduled sessions and assessment sessions ready to participate. You will need access to digital equipment and have the necessary digital capability to not only learn in an online environment but also conduct training and assessment to small groups of face-to-face and online learners that must be recorded and submitted. For several units you will need to provide people to act as your learners. You are required to record and upload a range of individual and group training and assessment sessions with these learners.
