Overview

This course is designed for registered plumbers seeking to extend their technical skills and industry knowledge and provides a pathway toward becoming a licensed plumber.

The Plumbing Licence in Sanitary Work Skill Set equips participants with advanced skills and knowledge required to carry out sanitary plumbing work in compliance with regulatory requirements.

This includes the design, installation and sizing of sanitary drainage systems for both residential and commercial applications, ensuring the safe and effective removal of wastewater.

Requirements

• There is a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) requirement to complete this course.

• Students must complete the - Plumbing Licence for Common Units Skill Set before enrolling in this course. A Statement of a Attainment must be supplied during enrolment.

• General stationery (pens, pencils, rulers, notebooks, calculator etc.)

• Appropriate workwear (long-sleeved shirts mechanical welding, long pants, and safety boots).

Assessment

A range of assessment strategies will enable students to demonstrate their underpinning knowledge, skills and attributes required to meet the course outcomes, including a series of written questions, a performance assessment, and a series of interview questions.

Certification

Students will receive a Certificate of Completion, which must be submitted to the Plumbing and Building Commission (PBC) as part of the licensing requirements.
