Overview
Day 1 (Tuesday 3 December)
You will get to 'Try a Trade' with Wodonga TAFE's engineering team, and learn all about the study and practical learning aspects of TAFE training.
This will take place at Wodonga TAFE's McKoy Street Wodonga campus at Building E, in modern real-world engineering training facilities.
You'll get an opportunity to work a lathe and do some welding.
Day 2 (Wednesday 4 December)
In the morning you'll be taken to three local engineering businesses - Border Crane Consultants, Albury Precision Engineering, and JC Butko Engineering.
This is a fantastic chance to hear directly from industry to discover what a career as an engineer involves, and to learn about the amazing opportunities in the sector.
From here, we'll return to Wodonga TAFE's campus, enjoy lunch, and then work with the Wodonga Skills and Jobs Centre team to help you map out your career - whether that be learning about available jobs, getting additional support applying for roles, or discovering TAFE training pathway courses to set you up for success.
