Overview
Students will acquire skills relevant to the industry in mathematics, engage in engineering design calculations, and develop drafting techniques specific to technical engineering domains. You will refine your ability to create detailed drawings that adhere to engineering design principles and comply with the required Australian Standards (AS). The program also focuses on enhancing proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, enabling you to utilize its features effectively. You will gain the expertise needed to generate 2D detailed drawings and construct 3D models and assemblies of mechanical parts, alongside conducting analysis and creating schematics for areas within the engineering sector. This course is designed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and its practical application in professional settings, positioning you for career progression.
You may be already employed in an engineering-related industry directly, or a public student looking for a career change to gain employment in this specialised area or looking for full time study prior to higher education.
This course offers applicants face to face classes. For an optional flexible / blended model including online learning and tutorials please request a discussion with the teaching department.
