Overview
Build the skills and knowledge you need to work in a variety of roles, from a turf management assistant to learning the skills required to progress through your career. This course will develop your skills in machinery operation, turf renovation, turf establishment, plant and weed identification, soils and plant nutrition, pests and diseases, management, construction of turf surfaces and occupational health and safety.

- Apprenticeship – Teaching and assessment will be required to be conducted as part of an apprenticeship

Any time, as this course runs in conjunction with your employment.
When You Can Enrol
Once you are notified that your apprenticeship has been activated, Wodonga TAFE Horticulture department will contact you for enrolment details.
Duration
APPRENTICESHIP, PART-TIME: 4 YEARS
Schedule
4-5 days per month of on-campus learning. The remaining study is at home or in the workplace.
Requirements
- You need to be employed in the field
- You need basic literacy and numeracy skills
Assessment
The assessments will enable students to demonstrate the underpinning knowledge, skills and attributes required to meet the course outcomes. These assessments are undertaken in the workplace and on-campus, involving assessment of your practical work and the theory involved.
