Overview
This short course is designed for trade qualified technicians in multiple industries to obtain the required Units of Competency outlined by the Australian Refrigeration Council (ARC) to allow for application of a Refrigerant Handling License (AAC02).
This license allows for work on air conditioning and refrigeration equipment fitted to the cabin of a motor vehicle and handling refrigerant. Please visit www.artick.org to view the full list of qualifications this short course and license is relevant to.

Requirements
Students will be trade qualified and actively working in the relevant industry as outlined in ARC literature.
A driver’s license is also required by ARC to obtain a Refrigerant Handlers License.
Students must also apply for and obtain a Trainee/Classroom license (CL000) through ARC before attending Wodonga TAFE course.
Training is at Wodonga TAFE Logic Campus 45 Albertson Rd Barnawartha North 3691.
Please wear enclosed safety boots, long sleeves and pants required.
Bring along lunch as there are no canteen facilities onsite however BP service station is a 5-minute drive.
Assessment
You are required to successfully complete 3 Assessment Tasks, including one (1) written assessment and two (2) practical observations.
Other Information
The two Units of Competency delivered in this short course do not allow the recipient to make modifications or retrofit Airconditioning systems. Please refer to ARC for restrictions of the AAC02 License.
