FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I don’t have a qualification but I have industry experience. Can I still apply for a Teaching role?

Yes you can, in fact we encourage you to. We will support you in obtaining a qualification to set you up to succeed in your role.

How long does the recruitment process normally take and what does it involve?

We generally process applications within a couple of days of the closing date and if you are successful we will be in contact with you for an initial interview. From there we may require you for a second interview. We will then speak to your referees before we would make verbal offer. The entire process may take up to a month. It is important to us that candidates not only have the qualifications and experience but are also a good fit with our team and Wodonga TAFE’s values, therefore our process is thorough.
If you are unsuccessful we will usually let you know within a month.

If I am unsuccessful for a role can I apply for another role?

Yes, we would encourage you to do so. Wodonga TAFE is a progressive workplace and consequently our roles are constantly evolving. Your experience will change over time as well. We advertise all our roles on our website so keep checking in to see if there is a role that suits you. If you’re not sure about the role or your ‘fit’, give our People and Development team a call on 1300 698 233 to discuss.
