Wodonga TAFE’s Logic Innovation Precinct begins construction with Heavy Vehicle Training Facility
Tuesday, 30 September 2025
Construction is officially underway on Wodonga TAFE’s Logic Innovation Precinct marking a major milestone for regional innovation and skills development.
Backed by $24 million in funding from the Albanese Labor Government, the precinct will deliver cutting-edge training and technology to support the future of transport, logistics, and manufacturing. This includes:
$22 million for a Heavy Vehicle Technology Program
$2 million for Phase 1 of an Advanced Manufacturing Centre of Excellence
The new facilities will feature a heavy vehicle technology workshop, four-wheel-drive obstacle course, main client building and carpark. Once complete, the precinct will offer hands-on training in heavy vehicle operations, maintenance, and emerging technologies, alongside experiential learning in advanced manufacturing including 3D printing, robotics and automation.
The Logic Innovation Precinct is expected to attract up to 1,200 students in its first four years, enabling Wodonga TAFE to expand its Heavy Vehicle Technology program and introduce new Advanced Manufacturing capabilities.
The precinct will also strengthen support for the Australian Defence Force, emergency services and the broader education sector. Wodonga TAFE currently trains close to 6,000 ADF members annually, and the new facilities will enhance this critical national role.
Local construction firm Joss Group has been appointed as the main works provider.
These projects form part of the broader Albury Wodonga Regional Projects initiative, aimed at driving economic growth and workforce development across the region.
