Rise Up for Amuka! Project turns students into global citizens for education-focussed cause.
Tuesday, 9 September 2025
Our Certificate II in Community Services students will be holding a fundraising stall as part of their Project unit of study. They will be raising funds and awareness for the AMUKA foundation, which was set up to change the lives of young women and girls in Kenya, providing them with the education and skills they need to thrive.
This project engages Community Services students in a meaningful volunteer’s community initiative to with the Amuka Foundation. The project includes an awareness campaign, a fundraising plant sale, and a donation drive, culminating in a community event at Wodonga TAFE on 18th September 2025.
Members of the Wodonga TAFE community are encouraged to come along and grab a new plant for their garden or desk, kindly donated by our Ag/Hort department and from our friends at Peard's Nursery Wodonga. People who are not able to make a purchase or donation can still be a part of this great cause by adding a message of support to the Growth Wall, or take a moment to plant some seeds, all while learning about this worthy cause.
