Wodonga TAFE Students prepare for WorldSkills Australia 2025 National Championships & Skills Show

Tuesday, 3 June 2025

Five Wodonga TAFE students undertook a training camp last month (16-18 May) in preparation for the WorldSkills Australia 2025 National Championships & Skills Show, which will be held in Brisbane between June 12-15.

The training camp was a huge opportunity for our staff to connect, learn, and develop their skillsets as teachers.

"As leaders in education, we see it as our responsibility and privilege to nurture the next generation of achievers. Watching our students rise to the national stage is a great look for our region, and wouldn't be possible without the dedication of our incredible staff." - Victoria Conlan, Executive Director of Community, Engagement & Experience expressed.

WorldSkills Australia not only gives students the chance to compete, but to also learn from one another in a supportive environment. Each skill competition runs over three days. A different challenge each day. They will be challenged to complete real-world tasks in a limited time, testing their precision, speed, and problem-solving capabilities.

Wodonga TAFE is proud to be supporting the students competing in Graphic Design Technology, Hairdressing, Healthcare, Turning and Welding. Please keep an eye out for a in-depth profiles in the coming weeks. We look forward to cheering them on come June 12-15!
