Our team

Wodonga TAFE is proud of its reputation as a leading vocational education provider in the region, offering education and training programs to individuals and industry, locally and nationally. Wodonga TAFE was proud to be awarded as the Australian and Victorian Large Training Provider of the Year in 2018, in recognition of the quality of its training services.

To understand the challenges and changes to the retail trading environment, and specifically focused on regional Victoria, Wodonga TAFE partnered with local stakeholders and subject matter experts. Extensive consultation enabled the 'Retail Connection' program which has been developed with financial assistance from the Victorian Government’s Workforce Training Innovation Fund.

The Retail Connection program is delivered by qualified teachers who are retail subject matter experts. Their significant industry experience will guide retailers and their staff as they collaborate, engage, learn, and innovate their way to retail success.

"Retail Connection offers so many opportunities, for retailers, for small business, for individuals, for national retailers, and for business groups. It’s all about transforming retail, and the future of Australian retail, and together we can do that!”

Our community members

"I was very impressed by the strategies and the planned development of the portal. There were some great ideas and strategies:

  • The career paths, with formal qualifications behind them.
  • The ability to develop a sense of a retail community through the use of the site.
  • The offering of free material and the option to undertake accredited or non-accredited learning."

 Neil Aird, CEO Business Wodonga

"The retail trading environment is rapidly evolving and vastly different from that of just five years ago.

The Retail Connection program is a great way to help retailers to connect with each other and support the business owners and staff by giving them the strategies to survive and thrive going forward."
