The assessments will enable students to demonstrate the underpinning knowledge, skills and attributes required to meet the course outcomes. A range of assessment strategies to meet different student’s needs will be selected, including tests and projects of both a theoretical and practical nature.

When You Can Start
Course commences in February 2020. Mid-year intake course commences is July 2020.

Compulsory two days per month on-campus study, 8.30am-5pm, Thursdays and Fridays. The remaining study is completed online, at home, or in the workplace with self-directed learning.
**There are 3 pre-requisite units:** AHCARB403 Perform a ground-based tree defect evaluation, AHCARB302 Inspect trees for access and work, AHCARB313 Identify trees. These three units are offered in our Certificate III in Arboriculture and must be completed prior to enrolling in the core unit AHCARB601 Examine and assess trees. **However, they ARE NOT a pre-requisite to enrol in the Diploma.**
• You need to comply with minimum age requirements to be eligible for national licences.
• Participants must have sufficient knowledge of the English language to perform work safely.
• Preferably Certificate III or higher in Aboriculture (any stream) qualified and/or have significant relevant industry experience.
• Basic computer literacy required.

Given the nature of Agriculture, Environment and Horticulture qualifications, the units you will undertake in your studies vary greatly depending upon your line of work and/or personal choice. This means prices for tuition fees can only be given as an approximation to begin with, and materials fees are omitted.
