Overview
This course is aimed to provide learners the skills and knowledge required for the carpentry industry. This includes using hand and power tools, taking measurements, and gaining a valuable insight into all aspects of the domestic and commercial building industries. You will learn a wide range of carpentry skills including how to install windows and doors, wall framing, interior fixing and roof framing.
Students are given an opportunity to build a portable house in this course. Together with their trainer and fellow students, this portable house will be constructed from the ground-up, supplying ample opportunity for students to learn and get some real hands-on, meaningful experience.

Requirements
Students must be at least 16 years of age.
Other Information
Students will be required to supply and wear appropriate clothing, as well as work safe boots, safety specs and ear protection. Students will be provided with specific clothing requirements.
