Wodonga TAFE Nurse Educator, Ms Pamela Goldspink, said that professionals from across the health and community services sectors are invited to attend.“The day is for professionals, by professionals”, said Ms Goldspink. “We are once again aiming to facilitate further discussions on pain management, and hearing from others in the sector is valuable professional development. In particular I would encourage nurses from the Albury area and beyond to attend, whether they are working in aged care, acute pain, psychiatric, or community nursing.”
CPD points (5.5) are available, with attendance certificates to be provided to participants.
The ‘2019 Global Year Against Pain in the Most Vulnerable’ was announced by The International Association for the Study of Pain, the Australian Pain Society, the New Zealand Pain Society, the Faculty of the Pain Medicine, the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists and Pain Australia, and continues to 31 December 2019. A number of Global Year factsheets have also been developed as resources for industry practitioners.
