Thursday, 20 June 2019

Do you want to make a difference in people’s lives? Do you want to develop fantastic skills to work within the community? Help those in need of change? Does this sound like something you would love to be able to do?

What if we told you that you could do all that and much more? Locally, and starting very soon! You could give yourself the opportunity to start a new direction or extend your current skills, right now. Enrol in a course and start mid-year to give yourself a great start.

These opportunities are available here at Wodonga TAFE, with our Community Services and Health department – courses that are still open for midyear enrolment - that will help you gain the skills and knowledge you need to help others, and to start you well on your way to your career making a difference.

Along with your qualification you will also gain confidence and the experience you need to make your new career happen sooner rather than later. You will be supported in your learning journey by experienced teachers who have first-hand knowledge of their industry.

We’re still taking midyear enrolments for the following courses. Don’t wait until next year – make your start now!

(Applications close 28 JUNE 2019) If you’re interested in Early Childhood Education, then the Diploma is still available to you for midyear. Learn to nurture the next generation with your career in childcare. Or build on your current career with further skills, or even consider this as a pathway option towards further options at university – with a qualification that enables you to work while you continue with further study.

(Applications close 4 JULY 2019 for Certificate III) Maybe you’re really keen to launch your Fitness career. Turn your passion for health and fitness into a rewarding career with a Certificate III that qualifies you to work as a fitness instructor, or use it to get your start along the pathway towards being a personal trainer. Or even just put your focus on your own health and that of your family members with the new skills and knowledge you’ll gain in the course. As part of the course you will gain practical, hands-on experience with time spent in real fitness facilities.

(Applications close 21 JUNE 2019) Are you keen to gain the skills and knowledge you need to work as an activities officer or diversional therapy assistant? This course also offers you a pathway from successful completion of the Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Home and Community) qualification.

(Applications close 21 JUNE 2019) Or if you’re a qualified Remedial Massage Therapist looking for an extension in your skills, then the Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy is available to you for a midyear start. This course is set up to enable busy professionals to fit study around work commitments, and is delivered over 12 months as a combination of on-campus workshop deliveries, and directed and self-directed online studies.
