Selection Process 

All eligible applicants should submit their application through this website, via email or hand-delivered in hard copy by the closing date and time of 9.00am on the 10th March 2020.

Applications will be accepted in hard copy if hand-delivered and received and receipted at the Institute Main Reception in Building A prior to 9.00am on the closing date of the 10th March 2020.

Late applications will not be considered.  Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Applications will be assessed by an Assessment Panel with recommendations made to the Executive at Wodonga TAFE for endorsement.

Applications will be assessed against criteria which will include:

  • Disadvantage
  • Academic merit
  • Academic aptitude/ability
  • Personal commitment to the regional area 

All applications will be required to support their application through the provision of evidence to substantiate their personal situation.

The Assessment Panel reserves the right to interview and/or request for additional evidence in the assessment of any shortlisted applications.

All applicants will receive notification of the outcome of their application.


Eligibility for the Destination Australia scholarship includes:

Must be an Australian citizen or one of:

  • Permanent resident of Australia
  • A permanent humanitarian Visa holder
  • New Zealand citizen

Must be completing a full-time course at Wodonga TAFE.

No more than one-third of the course may be delivered by distance or online.

Must have commenced this particular course in 2020.

Must be completing study in an eligible Certificate IV, Diploma or Advanced Diploma level.

Must be maintaining ongoing residency in our regional area.
