Overview
The Superior Heavy Vehicle Licensing program is offered by Wodonga TAFE's Transport & Logistics Department. This program is the transport industry’s answer to encouraging new drivers into the industry and providing them with the industry-standard skills and know-how. During this 7 week program, you will have an opportunity to gain a licence to operate a forklift, and either a licence to drive a Heavy Rigid or Heavy Combination Vehicle depending on your current licence and VicRoads' eligibility. If you already hold a forklift licence, you will be put through a forklift refresher program. The forklift licence course takes 4 days (usually Monday to Thursday) to complete. On the 7th week of the course you will complete the VicRoads' on-road driving test.
**Please note: You will need to be able to drive a manual car. (You may need to obtain some lessons in a manual gearbox before attending the course if you’ve only driven an automatic).**
**The fees displayed are for an applicant for a Heavy Rigid licence. If you already hold a Heavy Rigid licence and you are eligible to apply for a Heavy Combination licence, talk to us about the price.**
