Back to Work programs

Wodonga TAFE is proud to offer a suite of Back to Work programs that are designed to assist job seekers to gain insight into various industries, decide on a career path and take positive steps to gain paid employment in their chosen field.We like to think of it as a “package deal” that equips jobseekers with the necessary skills and experience to best position themselves to get a job. Our programs offer:

Outdoor Works

This program will give you an introduction to various career paths and valuable tickets required to gain employment in the areas of agriculture, horticulture and civil construction. Download flier

Warehousing Work-Ready Program

This program will give you an introduction to the various career paths and valuable tickets required to gain warehousing work, in such roles as forklift driver, warehouse operator, storeperson and picker. Flier coming soon!

This program will give you an introduction to various career paths and valuable tickets required to gain employment. Through research and feedback from industry partners, we have built this program to meet the growing demand for industry needs in: Office Administration, Receptionist, Accounts Clerk, Data Entry. Wodonga Aboriginal Training and Work Program 

This program will give aboriginal jobseekers an introduction to various career paths and valuable tickets required to gain employment. Through research and feedback from industry partners, we have built this program to meet the growing demand for industry needs in: Gardening, Traffic Control, Landscaping, Horticulture. Construction Pre-apprenticeship

Through research and feedback from industry partners, we have built this program to meet the growing demand in trades and other employment including: Carpentry, Building Maintenance, Trade Assistant. Download flier

Engineering Pre-apprenticeship

Through research and feedback from industry partners, we have built this program to meet the growing demand in trades and other employment including: Boilermaker, Fitter / Turner, Welder, Machinist. Download flier

Fees

'Back to Work' funding will assist you with being able to afford this training as in 2017 all fees are set at $150.

Eligibility

To be eligible you must be unemployed and actively seeking employment (or under-employed), and live in Victoria or within the City of Albury.

'2016 PROGRAMS – 55 jobs found last year!'

Last year was our first year to deliver these 'Back to Work programs' and we are extremely happy to share that we found 55 jobs for jobseekers. Here's a link to the Border Mail Story. Please note that another four job seekers found employment between the article and January. We expect an even more successful year as 2017 shapes up as we have identified opportunities where we can and will grow.
