Working Safely in Solar

Course in Working Safely in the Solar Industry (22515VIC)

Currently there’s a need to create a level playing field in the solar industry, so that all workers – from new apprentices and trade assistants, to more experienced electricians and plumbers – have a consistent level of knowledge and skills to do their job safely and to a high standard.

ABOUT THIS COURSE

This course is designed for electricians, plumbers, apprentices and trade assistants who are currently working in or seeking employment within the solar installation industry. This course provides an overview of safety hazards and appropriate safety measures relevant to solar installation, and will increase your overall safety awareness of the processes.

The training unit VU22744 Work safely in the solar industry will be a mandatory requirement for all workers carrying out Solar Homes installations as of 1 January 2021.

The course runs for 2 days to complete the VU22744 unit only. Additional units are arranged separately.
