Our indoor environments offer children opportunities to learn through play in stimulating spaces. Play spaces are set up by educators and children to enable creativity, role plays, construction, quiet times, and discovery. Play spaces are altered to suit the needs and interests of the children. We have a variety of natural and man-made materials that your children can use in their learning environments.
Our indoor environment includes dedicated sleep areas, nappy change areas, and bathrooms in which children can be directly supervised.
We strive to implement high quality education and care with our small room numbers. All our rooms catering for children under three years of age have only eight children (maximum) in each. This ensures all children's needs are met in a calm and productive environment.
Children spend time exploring the outdoor environment. Sandpits, climbing equipment, verandas, and grassy areas with large shady trees support the development of your child’s gross motor skills.
The outdoor play areas at Kids on Campus provide opportunities for children to participate in role plays, construction, active games, arts, crafts, and quiet activities. Our play spaces are flexible and can be changed on a daily basis to ensure maximum development for your children. Play spaces are separate for younger and older children.
Beyond the gate
At times Kids on Campus staff and students explore beyond the gate into the Wodonga TAFE grounds or even into the community. On enrolment, families are requested to give permission for excursions around the Wodonga TAFE grounds. Children may go for a nature walk, visit the hospitality department, visit the library, or simple enjoy the vast open spaces and lovely shaded areas.
Children in the Kindergarten Room and Vacation Care venture out into the community, with opportunities for visits to the art gallery, library, museum, parks, and sports and recreation facilities.
