Corporate services departments

Wodonga Institute of TAFE is committed to the provision of relevant programs and services to the diverse and discerning learners and clients in our region and across Australia. Wodonga TAFE provides a broad range of vocational education and training programs, products, and services including VET in schools, entry-level training, career enhancement, and training and education services in workplaces to improve productivity and career-advancement opportunities.

Wodonga TAFE's corporate services departments manage the overall operation of the Institute.

Business Development and Marketing

The Business Development and Marketing department identifies and develops training opportunities, and accesses a range of state and federal government funding. Working with industry and community, Business Development and Marketing offers responsive and relevant solutions to training needs.

Business Development and Marketing develops, implements, and monitors all marketing strategies and activities of Wodonga TAFE, and coordinates public relations activities and official events. Business Development and Marketing also has responsibility for all advertising, and corporate print and digital media.

Continuous Improvement and Administration Services

Continuous Improvement and Administration Services is a multi-functional department responsible for providing support across Wodonga TAFE in areas such as:

  • student administration, the central point for information regarding course enrolment, fees and charges (including refunds and concessions), and apprenticeship/traineeship administration
  • the Institute's records management system (including identification and retention)
  • monitoring and maintenance of the Institute's quality management systems and compliance with specified standards such as AQTF and ISO9001
  • identification and co-ordination of continuous improvement opportunities (including analyses of surveys and feedback information), delivery performance analyses, and management reporting.

Facilities and Capital Works

The Facilities and Capital Works department is responsible for the overall management, upkeep, security, and maintenance of Wodonga TAFE's buildings, properties, and associated assets.

Finance

The Finance and Records Management department is responsible for the provision of financial services to Wodonga TAFE and its relevant stakeholders. These quality services include financial management, reporting, budgeting, grant management, and compliance. Through efficient management of financial resources, the department aims to facilitate the financial objectives and strategic plan of the Institute.

Information Communications and Technology

The ICT department provides Wodonga TAFE with specialist network infrastructure, telecommunications, computer hardware/software, and related IT services.

Kids on Campus Childcare Centre

Kids on Campus is a childcare facility for staff and students of Wodonga Institute of TAFE, and for the wider community. It is a centre where children are nurtured and empowered through knowledge and the creation of self-worth in the form of art, stories, music, dance, and cooking.

Learning Innovations

The Learning Innovations department is responsible for the delivery and implementation of Wodonga TAFE's 'e-environment' projects including the provision of:

  • e-learning solutions to meet the learning needs of our students and the training needs of our Institute partners
  • blended learning and online support environments and objectives
  • e-systems
  • the management of e-learning projects.

Workforce Planning and Development

The Workforce Planning and Development (WPD) department manages a range of services to all staff including recruitment and selection, induction, payroll, employee and industrial relations, performance planning and review, staff learning and development, equal opportunity, occupational health and safety, WorkCover management, and the human resource management information systems.
