The Australian Quality Training Framework is a national set of standards which assures a nationally consistent approach to the registration of training organisations seeking to deliver training, assess competency outcomes and issue Australian Qualifications Framework qualifications and/or Statements of Attainment. It also ensures the recognition of training providers and the Australian Qualifications Framework qualifications and Statement of Attainment they issue, across Australia. For more information on the AQTF please visit www.training.com.au

Quality indicators
Under the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF), Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) are required to collect, use and report data on three quality indicators, as follows.
- Competency completion rate. This indicator shows the number of enrolments and qualifications completed and units of competency awarded in the previous calendar year by each RTO.
- Learner engagement. This indicator focuses on the extent to which learners are engaging in the types of activities that are likely to promote high-quality skill outcomes. It includes learner perceptions of the quality of their competency development and the level of support they receive from RTOs.
- Employer satisfaction. This indicator focuses on employer evaluations of learner competency development and the relevance of learner competencies for work and further training, as well as employer evaluation of the overall quality of the training and assessment.
RTOs are required to use quality indicator data to inform their continuous improvement processes and assess their performance against the AQTF Essential Standards for Registration.
Competency completion rate
Competency completions, in this case, is a measure of volume, and the two reports available here are based on 2010 enrolments.

Learner engagement and employer satisfaction
These indicators are based on a survey of 621 students and 45 employers. This sample represents 4% of Wodonga TAFE’s training delivery in the 2010 calendar year. The students and employers surveyed for these indicators were selected by Wodonga TAFE in accordance with national guidelines.
