About this course
(Blue Card). This traffic control course provides training for people who need to control traffic with a stop-slow bat.
What you learn
You learn the knowledge, skills, and attitudes you need to perform traffic control safely, for your co-workers and the public.
- Understand the role of a traffic controller.
- Apply the procedures of traffic controlling on a worksite.
- Operate a two-way radio correctly and effectively.
- Promote the role of traffic controller in the community.
Entry requirements
You must:
- have adequate literacy skills
- hold a NSW WorkCover or Victorian WorkSafe Construction Induction Card or its equivalent (the original must be sighted by the trainer)
- hold, or have held within the last two years, either a NSW P2 driver's licence, its equivalent, or better, or a NSW Traffic Controller photo ID card, expired by not more than two years.
What to bring
- Please bring original documentation for proof of identity. Photo ID is mandatory.
- Wear suitable clothing and footwear (safety shoes or boots preferred).

Outcomes
If you successfully complete this course, you receive a competency card issued by the RTA and valid for 3 years.
