About this course

This safe handling methods course provides you with the skills and knowledge you need to shift loads using manual-handling methods, including how to assess the risks associated with relocating the load, how to plan the relocation process, and how to carry out the relocation in accordance with the plan.

The following equipment can be incorporated into the training course.

  • Forklift
  • Reach truck
  • High-rise picker.

  • Balance and stability
  • Loading and stacking
  • Attachments
  • Shut-down procedures.

Entry requirements

You:

  • must have sufficient knowledge of the English language to perform your work safely
  • may need your own transport to the worksite.

What to bring

  • Please bring original documentation for proof of identity. Photo ID is mandatory.
  • Wear suitable clothing and footwear. Safety shoes or boots are preferred.
