If you have mental health issues, this course offers you the opportunity to develop new skills for life, training, study and work.

What you learn

REAL Options - Drawing
Designed for people who are recovering from or living with mental health issues, this course offers you an opportunity to develop new skills for life, further education, and work. You learn basic drawing techniques and experiment with colour and design.

REAL Options - Painting
This short course is designed for people who are recovering from or living with mental health issues. It outlines the skills and knowledge required to use techniques, materials, and equipment for the production of paintings.

You need to attend an interview with the course coordinator before your enrolment is accepted.

Tuesdays 17 April-26 June (11 sessions) | Times 9.30am-12.30pm

REAL Options - Painting
Dates Tuesdays 17 July-18 September 2012 (10 sessions) | Times 9.30am-3.30pm

Building W, Wodonga TAFE.

Assessment

The level of competency you develop from your training will be assessed using the following methods:

  • Assessment is completed through classroom participation, written tasks and practical activities.

Your teachers will provide you with more information on specific requirements at the start of each unit and they will assist with any support you may need.

Outcomes

On successful completion of this course you will receive a Statement of Attainment listing all units.

VTG is the Victorian Training Guarantee for those eligible for a government-subsidised place.
